I quite like it. She's going in a different direction with this album which is nice to see, but it is not very good as a lead single. Ok I love it now and am happy for the success that it has received worldwide. It's definitely not amongst my favourites from get but it's a good effort. I just hope the whole album isn't like this. Crap, as I expected. I feel bad for giving this 2* instead of 1*, but it is significantly better than some of astronomical scum she's unleashed on this earth (e.g. "Love Story"). Probably the best song she's ever made by her pitiable standards. Gets annoying, listening to her saying "weeeeeEEEEEE" and "you got talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me" on repeat really gets under your skin. EDIT: Sorry, I realised I should have rated this song on its own qualities and not in comparison to her other songs. There are songs I've rated a 2 which I feel are still much better than this. 1*. EDIT 2: In reference to my above edit, may I just state that this is a completely terrible song, and I did not just give it a 1* just because there are songs rated 2* which are slightly better, but because this truly deserves a 1* as it completely horrible (in all truth, it deserves -∞* because it is just that horrific, but 1* is as low as this can go). Max Martin and Shellback wrote this song with Taylor. Who would've ever thought that Taylor would ever work with them? As a result, it doesn't sound like Taylor's previous songs, it sounds a lot like Avril Lavigne. But it's a really good song though, one of her best. | |

Taylor Swift neemt hier even afstand van haar country roots, en dat pakt verrassend goed uit! Echt moeilijk zit dit nummer niet in elkaar, maar het werkt. 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' zou wel eens Taylor's eerste echte grote hit kunnen gaan worden! | |

Goed nummer, wel een beetje spijtig dat ze de hulp van Shellback en Max Martin heeft ingeroepen terwijl ze al bewezen heeft dat ze het alleen kan. | |
Swift wordt in Nederland nog altijd een beetje onderschat, terwijl het toch een heel goede zangeres is met leuke popliedjes. Allicht een beetje een 'guilty pleasure', maar laat dit dan haar definitieve doorbraak zijn. | |

So, while Miley Cyrus tries to sound mature like early Taylor and flops, Taylor releases a song that is somewhat childish like early Miley and scores a hit. Interesting... Anyway, this song has grown on my considerably from first listen. It is quite contagious, but I think the spoken part towards the end is unnecessary. | |

Hate this song so much. Very childish and immature. Sounds like a bubblegum pop version of Avril Lavigne. Sounds like a 13 year old wrote it. In fact it sounds like my 14 year old sister wrote it when she was 12 and had just broken up with her boyfriend for the like ten billionth time (probably only the tenth times but you get my point :P) and thus makes me hate it more.
