It might be my flop knowledge striking again but this sounds very '80s pop to me, which I find interesting since that's not really the kind of continuation you'd expect from her recent pop singles, but then I guess it being a soundtrack single and likely not more than that provides grounds for experimentation? Either way it doesn't really matter (nor should it), and I like '80s pop productions so I'm happy with this. It's not all that strong a song but it's good enough, and for once I don't feel the need to use the "oh, it's just a soundtrack single so it doesn't need to be as good" excuse that I use more than I should. 3.5* | |
No I totally agree 392414, when the opening bit plays, I always think it's something from the 1980's. Then it turns into an 80's version of You Belong With Me. I don't mind it but it's not really popping at all. | |
