Definitely an improvement on the execrable "Shake It Off", but still not good by any means. It didn't annoy me as almost every other song of hers and her voice sounds less whiny than usual. A track that appealed to me immediately. As someone who isn't really fond of un-natural sounding auto-tune, the way her voice rests on the beat for the chorus is just really appealing. She says the same words some times, but puts it to melody, so it becomes a really addictive chorus. Not that she just rests on this, I also love the outburst of 'You were looking at me-e-eeeee!' after the second verse. It's just a rather finely crafted tune. 4.1 | |
