Nieuwste van Sam Fender doet meer dan een beetje denken aan The Boss, maar is vooral in de eerste plaats weer een sterk nummertje. | |
Zeer goede plaat! | |
The lyrics offer a cynical, yet honest, take of the state of the world at this moment in time. However, until I looked them all up after a couple of months, the only lyrics I knew were "it's a high time for hypersonic missiles", so in this case it wasn't the lyrics which grabbed me. It's a brilliantly performed track, both vocally and on the instruments used, and it's also very well produced. The way the second verse builds and builds is so fantastic, and to follow it up with that excellent sax solo is an unexpected, yet wonderful choice. |
