G.U.Y.: 6/6 Oh echt leuk! Wat ik er misschien ook van verwacht had. Ik denk dat deze één van mijn favorieten zal worden. HEt is wel raar omdat ik d esnippet al zo goe dken, dan hoor je ervoor en erna nog tekst en dat is wel even speciaal. Maar ehct een heel catchy tempo met Gaga die veel in een bepaalde monotone toon praat. Wel echt heel goed! Woohoo!! | |

Prima track, afkomstig van het album: "Artpop", van de Amerikaanse superster: "Lady Gaga", die nu in de lente van 2014 ook als single verschijnt !!! Even afwachten of het ook écht zal scoren ??? Listening to the song again and watching the video made me laugh so hard. It's a camp mess of spectacular proportions. The song is a power bottom anthem and the video reeks of money and faux bizarre stuff (attention), but it's message is simply laughable. Still, the "Greetings Himeros" intro is quite captivating as is the rest of the song despite it sounding like a mess so it's a major guilty pleasure for me. 4.3 | |
De laatste tijd vind ik de singles van Lady Gaga niet zo bijzonder. Deze plaat vind ik ook niet top, maar slecht vind ik het zeker niet. 4* | |
Dit is het beste voorbeeld van hoe "plastic" klinkt. Niet zo goed dacht ik? Al die productie foefjes bijeen, maken dit één rommelig klinkend iets dat niet pijn doet aan de oren, maar eerder aan het hoofd. Als ik dit een half uur na elkaar moet aanhoren, heb ik hoofdpijn. Dit is een verschrikkelijk niet-muzikaal gedrocht dat door een muziekmaatschappij is uitgegeven. Zij zouden beter iets anders gaan doen dan platen uitbrengen, want dit slaat nergens op. 0:43-0:51, 1:44-1:52 Basically, there's this 8 second section just before the chorus, and it's really good. The first bit of the bridge after the second chorus is pretty good too, but nothing compares to that one bit that's repeated just once more, and there's only so much that can carry a song. There's also a level of disappointment here in that she clearly thought of the 'G.U.Y.' & 'G.I.R.L.' wordplay, but when it came to the latter, couldn't think of a good set of words for the latter (maybe 'lots' would work over 'loves'?) pausing before continuing the sentence doesn't hide the fact that it clearly just doesn't work as an acronym, and it bothers me majorly. 3.3 Laatst gewijzigd: 08/04/2014 03:55 | |
