Kygo feat. Conrad - Firestone

I apologise if I am unintentionally and unknowingly repeating something that has already been said.

I am just obliged to say that as an avid follower of Twitch Plays Pokémon, I am conditioned to side-eye something whose title represents one of the key forces of the anti-Anarchy movement. I refuse to forgive you Flareon.

To make another reference, listening to Kygo is like solving Wheatley's Test Chambers. There's a euphoric buzz the first time but it quickly subsides and at some point you can't help but think that maybe he's not quite the intricate designer that whoever his potato predecessor might have been. There's also a nice parallel between the robot testing initiative, and the fact that Kygo seems to have amounted a large portion of his listener-base out of passive streamers who might know the song but not be able to give a name. Incidentally, both Kygo and the listener are Wheatley in this simile.

Really the problem though is that his songs just sound a bit stiff for what is a rather vibrant sub-genre. The chorus should be a joyous release of life but it's let down by just how empty the rest of the song is. Credit that it's at least somewhat vivid but did we really need another dance song that tries to step above its belt-size in sounding profound? Also apart from having a good management team, Conrad really can't ever seem to do anything right.
