Ik snap niet dat dit geen hit is geworden. Doet echt niet onder voor een ander juweeltje als "Viva la vida". Vooral als het nummer zich na 3 minuten ontpopt als een prachtige 'vlinder'. Gegarandeerd twee minuten kippevel. Ook in mijn eigen hitparade succesvol: #1 / 17 weken. | |

I've always thought that the songs that frequently re-enter the chart are the ones that are rarely on the mind, but as soon as you hear them, memories flood back of how much you loved it, and hey presto it's back in the chart. "Fix You" is an interesting case, as it has re-entered the charts nearly every year since the start of the digital era. But it's weird because the rule I set out doesn't really apply to it. When this gets played on TV, it'll probably only be the chorus, which shouldn't work in this song's favour as it could be perceived quite easily as 'boring' ("Sweet Disposition" runs into the same issue because of where the title is). But "Fix You" is more than that chorus. Fix You" is afkomstig uit het succesvolle Coldplay-album "X&Y", uitgebracht in het jaar 2005. Het nummer werd destijds ook nog op singel uitgebracht, maar bleef steken in de Vlaamse Ultratipparade. Het nummer komt wat traag op gang, maar wordt naarmate het vordert wel steeds beter. 4+ | |

Zeer vreemd dat diit geen hit is geworden, want dit is me toch echt een pareltje van Coldplay. Met gemak kan ik dit zelfs hun één na beste nummer noemen! Prachtig en gevoelig nummer, vooral door de hoge, zachte stem van Chris Martin die er gped bij past. Dromerog is dit niet echt, maar dat is geen wonder, aangezien het een ballad is. Wanneer de andere instrumentals na 2 minuten en 30 seconden komen opzetten (de climax), wordt het toch echt mooi en ook dromerig. Doet niet veel onder 'Viva La Vida'! | |
There's just something about this that draws me in to listen every time, and 9 years on the song just somehow keeps getting more and more enjoyable. I've always thought little of this because this is nowhere near my favourite Coldplay songs, but now the gap between this and those favourites are closing. | |
The song really touches me. We all have loved ones of friends we want to fix when they are sick of going thro hard times. Seeing them sing this live in concert just absolutely turned on my water works. I sang through the tears at the top of my lungs. Such a good song! One of their absolute best. | |
Stands up well today; everything about it makes for an extremely enjoyable listen! The organs at the start, the progression of the instruments from start to finish, the lyrics... It's so gloriously wonderful that I can't put into words everything I think about it at once. Considered by many to be the greatest Coldplay song of all time. | |
