***** Na also, endlich mal eine wirklich feine Interpretation auf "Congratulations und 13 weitere Hits" von Cliff Richard. Besonders die Bläser, arrangiert von Norrie Paramor, gefallen mir hier. Das gibt dem Song einen spannenden Rahmen, der ihn aus der Beat-Ecke rausholt. | |
**** Das MUSSTE ich mir jetzt mal geben, nachdem ich gesehen hatte, dass "grumpyoldman" den gerade bewertet hat. Bis dato wusste ich nämlich nicht, dass Sir Cliff einen meiner absoluten Lieblingstitel der Pilzköpfe gecovert hat. Da es meines Erachtens einfach ein starker Song ist, vergebe ich knappe vier Punkte, obwohl ich drei eher angemessen finde. Cliff war einfach nie der größte und beste Sänger, auch wenn ich ihn wirklich gerne hören mag. Doch verbessert hat er ihn gegenüber dem Original meiner Meinung nach keinesfalls. | |
**** Ja, das Bläserarrangement ist das einzige, was an diesem Cover interessant ist, alles andere bleibt deutlich hinter dem Original der Beatles zurück, insbesondere das Fehlen des mehrstimmigen Gesangs. |
