Very Impressive debut effort from one of Britain's greatest songwriters. Highlights 'Dream On', 'AKA What a Life' and 'The Death of You and Me' bristle with a contagious energy not seen from this man since the heydey of the mighty Oasis.
I don't see anything here that couldn't fit on an Oasis album, but that's not a bad thing for me as I always liked their sound. This retains that, and is solid and enjoyable all the way through, without providing anything overly special or spectacular.
Noel is my favourite Gallagher and this album shows it. You could think that anything of a melody could possibly be lost in the mass of production, but it actually doesn't. The album even more than makes the quota for memorable and worthwhile moments, particular in singles like "The Death Of You And Me", "AKA...What A Life!" & "Dream On". Really enjoyable from start to finish. 4.5
Really good, with plenty of enjoyable songs to keep you interested all the way through. Noel really shows that he is one the best songwriters of all time particularly with songs like "If I Had A Gun",
"The Death Of You And Me", "Dream On", "Everybody's On The Run" and "AKA...What A Life".
this album is in fact is ideal. a bunch of high-profile songs, so-gallagher tunes and textes. to name a few best: Everybody's On The Run, What A Life, Soldier Boys & Jesus Freaks...
